SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- The Automotive Dealership Institute has released its 2006 1st-Quarter F&I Training Menu, specifically designed as a tool for dealerships seeking to improve the skills and knowledge base of their F&I personnel.
The menu, which is reminiscent of a dealership aftermarket product menu, enables dealership personnel to choose from such critical course material as credit bureau analysis, legal disclosures, finance products, F&I prime and subprime financing, leasing, the F&I menu-selling process and sales training. Classes range from one to five days and are scheduled throughout the year.
"Our F&I Training Menu is both convenient and easy to read," said Arzu Algan, ADI’s CFO and Dean of Education. "Dealers can send new hires, promotes from within or even experienced F&I managers to bring them up to speed on industry changes. A better-trained finance manager means higher departmental profits as well as optimal CSI, so it’s a win-win situation for the dealership and their customers."
The menu was created in response to dealership demand in the Greater Phoenix area. However, ADI expects dealerships throughout the country to take advantage of the expert training in the resort atmosphere of Scottsdale.
"With our new menu dealers can customize their own training program for each individual employee, then only pay for exactly what they need -- no more, no less," said Algan. "In addition to the monetary savings by not paying for elements of training an individual may not need, dealerships will save considerable time by targeting the exact training topics they need."
