ADP Dealer Services Announces a New ASP Managed Services Milestone
ADP Dealer Services
announces the expansion of Application Service Provider (ASP) Managed
Services. ADP says its ASP provides a complete solution to automotive and
truck dealerships looking for off-site management of their information
technology infrastructure.
"We are tremendously excited to announce that 700 dealership
locations and 35,000 users are now on ADP's ASP Managed Services
solution. Through our ADP-owned and operated, world class data centers
in Elk Grove Village, Ill., and Ann Arbor, Mich., we are setting the
standard for technology for the automotive industry," says Bob Karp,
senior vice president of eCommerce at ADP.
ADP says it currently offers the only complete off-site ASP solution that
includes services for application hosting, access, networking and
single-provider service and support. ADP's ASP solution offers hosting
services for ADP's full suite of dealer management system (DMS)
applications as well as applications for customer relationship
management (CRM).
"With more than three years of experience providing ASP Managed
Services, ADP is clearly the ASP product leader in the automotive
retail industry. As a result of the powerful solution package and
unsurpassed support, we are adding more than one thousand new users
each month across the U.S. and Canada," adds Dan McCray, ADP's vice
president of ASP product marketing.
According to the company, one of many satisfied customers agree, "We don't have to worry
about the day-to-day system management and we love the fact that all
our system issues are handled. ADP's ASP Managed Services has saved us
so much time that we can now fully utilize the power of the system
instead of managing it," explains Jim Waters, controller of C. Harper
Chevrolet, Belle Vernon, Pa.
ADP also provides dealers with the local area network equipment to
connect the PCs, terminals, and third-party servers together through
its Network Services and provides dealers with 24-hour phone or e-mail
access to an experienced and dedicated ASP technical staff, not a
third-party vendor.
"More and more dealers are recognizing the benefits of an ASP
solution and we anticipate continued growth in this area," adds Tim
Hardin, ADP's vice president/general manager of ASP Services. "The
growth of our ASP solution clearly demonstrates our commitment to
provide ADP customers with the superior service and cutting-edge
technology they need to sell more cars, parts and service profitably."
