AFSA to Hold 2004 Auto Finance Conference & Expo Prior to NADA Annual Convention
The American Financial Services Association (AFSA) said Oct. 2 that it had reached an agreement with the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) to hold its 2004 Auto Finance Conference and Exposition immediately prior to NADA's 2004 Annual Convention in Las Vegas.
The eighth Auto Finance Conference, sponsored by AFSA's Auto Finance Division and the AFSA Education Foundation, is scheduled for Jan. 28-30 at the Ritz-Carlton Lake Las Vegas. NADA's Annual Convention will be held Jan. 31-Feb. 3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
"We are extremely pleased with this back-to-back format, given the prominence of NADA's annual convention," said Randy Lively, AFSA president and CEO. "Our hope is that this format will benefit both groups and create a must-attend event for the entire automotive industry."
In addition to a new venue, AFSA's '04 Auto Finance Conference has other notable changes, including an expanded, two-day format and a new time of the year. In recent years, it has been a one-day event held in March or April in conjunction with two other AFSA meetings.
Among the tentative topics for the '04 Auto Finance Forum's program are the impact of recent regulatory events on the financial services industry; how auto finance companies can help dealers with their marketing efforts; the evolution of asset funding in capital markets (including AFSA's e-standards initiative); and consumer education programs used by auto finance companies and dealers.
For information on registering for the 2004 AFSA Auto Finance Conference and Exposition, call AFSA's Meetings and Conferences Department at (202) 296-5544 or e-mail meetings@afsamail.org.
