Alpha Warranty Teams With Agent, Dealer to Help Struggling Family
A letter written by a West Philadelphia teen about her family’s struggles to care for her sister, who suffers from multiple medical issues, prompts the F&I product provider, its agent and dealer to donate transportation and more.

PHILADELPHIA — When Cheryl Barlow learned that client dealer, Dani’s Auto, received a letter about a family in need, the Alpha Warranty Services agent got the F&I product provider to partner with her firm and the dealer to help out.
The letter was written by 16-year-old Maiya James of West Philadelphia. She explained how she’d watch her mother Katherine struggle daily to care for her sister Mariah, who requires 24-hour nursing care because she suffers from blindness, cerebral palsy, and epilepsy. She also shared that the van the family uses to transport Mariah to her doctor’s appointments was unreliable.
Dani’s Auto donated a new wheel-chair accessible van, while Alpha Warranty Services donated a five-year vehicle service contract and a gift card of $500 to the family.
“On the surface, Alpha Warranty might appear like any other vehicle warranty company, but our employees and partners know we are different,” said Darin Ramos, vice president of business development. “It’s not just about paying for unexpected auto repairs, it’s about helping our customers through difficult and often stressful situations. We provide peace of mind and take great pleasure in saving people money and getting them safely back on the road.”
The story was picked up by the local Fox news affiliate, Fox 29. To read and watch the report, click here.
