Auto/Mate Introduces Honda Dealer Communication System Interface
Auto/Mate Dealership Systems has released the Honda iN 2.0 Plus Realtime, a dealer communication system interface that allows Automotive Management Productivity Suite (AMPS) users to electronically transmit warranty claims, parts orders and parts return data to American Honda Motor Company Inc.
CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – Auto/Mate Dealership Systems, a dealer management system provider (DMS), released the Honda iN 2.0 Plus Realtime, a dealer communication system interface that allows Automotive Management Productivity Suite (AMPS) users to electronically transmit warranty claims, parts orders and parts return data to American Honda Motor Company Inc.
The interface reduces administrative time by streamlining and facilitating communication between the manufacturer and Honda dealers.
"Our new Honda iN 2.0 Plus Realtime interface lets Honda dealers send complete and accurate reports to the manufacturer in real time from their AMPS dealer management system," said Mike Esposito, president of Auto/Mate.
He added that AMPS is also automatically updated when any information sent or received through the new module.
Features of the new interface include:
Warranty Claims – Sends one or multiple warranty claims per repair order. Includes note fields that can be used to summarize the customer complaint or situation and how it was corrected. Eliminates double entry of warranty claim information.
VIN Inquiry Interface – Automatically generates vehicle history data before a repair order is created. Contains complete vehicle service and status information.
Parts Order/Parts Returns – Allows for easy entering and submission of parts orders and part return data. Multiple parts orders can be input at one time with an option to choose which part orders to process first.
Electronics Parts Catalog – Lets Honda dealers look up parts required to complete a repair, and automatically checks the AMPS dealer on-hand parts database to determine whether or not the parts are currently in stock. Part orders can be completed and sent to Honda directly from the parts catalog. Also includes an automatic Honda warehouse parts locator check.
"We're always looking for ways to improve operating efficiencies and eliminate delays. Auto/Mate's new Honda interface will not only save us time, it will eliminate duplicate entry which can result in costly mistakes," said John Crusco, technology manager of Price Automotive Group.
Auto/Mate's Automotive Management Productivity Suite (AMPS) is an easy-to-use comprehensive dealership management system with over 20 integrated modules to help dealers more efficiently and effectively manage their business. It supports an unlimited number of users, workstations and printers. AMPS is available as both a cost-effective in-house and ASP solution.
