AutoTrader.com Adds Carfax One Owner Highlight to Listings
AutoTrader.com and Carfax have enhanced online vehicle listings to make used-car shopping even easier. AutoTrader.com will highlight every Carfax One Owner vehicle listed by participating dealers.
Centreville, Va.— AutoTrader.com and Carfax have enhanced online vehicle listings to make used-car shopping even easier. AutoTrader.com will highlight every Carfax One Owner vehicle listed by participating dealers. When used-car shoppers search inventory listed on AutoTrader.com, they can immediately identify cars with only one previous owner.
“Ownership history is one of the most important factors that drives a used-car buyer’s decision,” said Larry Gamache, communications director at Carfax. “Carfax One Owner cars are more valuable to consumers and preliminary results do show a lift in resale value against those with multiple owners. Dealers now can more effectively market these premium cars to the millions of AutoTrader.com shoppers.”
Carfax One Owner cars make up more than 60 percent of the average dealer’s inventory. A Carfax One Owner logo will clearly distinguish these cars on both AutoTrader.com’s search results and vehicle details pages. In addition, the entire Carfax Vehicle History Report can be accessed for free directly from the vehicle listings.
“The Carfax One Owner highlight greatly enhances AutoTrader.com’s unique car-shopping environment,” said Chip Perry, president and chief executive officer, AutoTrader.com. “Now, shoppers can quickly and easily identify these valuable one-owner cars among the millions of vehicles in our inventory.”
