Benoit Rejoins Hudson Cook LLP as Partner
Hudson Cook LLP announced that Michael Benoit has rejoined the company in its Washington, D.C. office. Benoit's practice includes assisting national and state banks, savings associations, credit unions, consumer finance companies, mortgage bankers, other licensed lenders and Internet companies in the development and maintenance of nationwide consumer finance programs; prescreening and lead provider programs, joint marketing programs and the purchase and sale of consumer loan portfolios.
Hanover, Md.—Hudson Cook LLP announced that Michael Benoit has rejoined the company in its Washington, D.C. office. Benoit’s practice includes assisting national and state banks, savings associations, credit unions, consumer finance companies, mortgage bankers, other licensed lenders and Internet companies in the development and maintenance of nationwide consumer finance programs; prescreening and lead provider programs, joint marketing programs and the purchase and sale of consumer loan portfolios.
Prior to returning to the firm, he was with Mavent Inc. in Irvine, Calif., where he served as executive vice president, chief legal officer and corporate secretary. From 1997 until 2005 he was a partner with Hudson Cook LLP.
Benoit is a member of the District of Columbia and Ohio State Bar Associations and is a member of the American Bar Association and its section on Business Law. He also serves on the State Government Relations Committee of the American Financial Services Association and was a director of the National Home Equity Mortgage Association.
