Black Book Editors, Analysts Become Certified Auto Remarketers
Black Book’s entire team of vehicle value editors and data analysts has become certified auto remarketers under the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance, a first for the firm.
GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Black Book’s entire team of vehicle value editors and data analysts has become certified auto remarketers under the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA).
Only 64 industry professionals have passed the 20-course module. The company’s senior vice president and editorial director, Ricky Beggs, was the third person ever to become certified by the IARA in 2009 and recertified in 2013 as part of the program.
“Being CAR Certified tells the industry that Black Book editors are part of an elite group of professionals dedicated to being the best,” said Stephen Houston, IARA acting executive director. “This accomplishment shows that Black Book is committed to providing industry leadership and focused on helping its editors be the best they can within the remarketing profession.”
The certification program can take several months to complete and covers every phase of remarketing, including consignment, auction selection, reconditioning, arbitration, and condition reporting.
