Capital One Auto Finance Joins CreditOnline Network

Credit Online, Inc., a member of The First American Corporation, announced May 28 that Capital One Auto Finance has joined its CreditOnline Network, an e-commerce service taht provides lenders with electronic connectivity to auto dealers, credit bureaus and other lenders.


"The CreditOnline Network enhances our ability to stay connected to auto dealers throughout the application process," sais Larry Rodriguez, Capital One Auto Finance's national director of sales. "By expediting the process from days to minutes, we are able to provide dealers, and ultimately consumers, with the best service possible."

According to the company, similar to an ATM network, the CreditOnline Network enables businesses of all sizes to evaluate the credit worthiness of their prospective customers and electronically route credit applications via the Internet to participating lenders and finance companies.


"We're pleased that our technology can play a role in meeting the needs of Capital One and its customers," said Howard L. Tischler, Credit Online's president and CEO. "We've already enabled approximately 500 of our CreditConnection auto dealers to send electronic applications to Capital One and we're adding more each week." Currently, the company says the Network consists of more than 30 prime and nonprime banks and finance companies located throughout the United States and Canada.
