Carfax Selected by Top Intellichoice CPO Programs
The manufacturers with the top certified pre-owned (CPO) programs this year share at least one thing in common – they choose Carfax as their vehicle history provider.
CENTREVILLE, Va. — The manufacturers with the top certified pre-owned (CPO) programs this year share at least one thing in common – they choose Carfax as their vehicle history provider.
MINI and Volvo, Intellichoice’s winners for best CPO programs in the ‘popular’ and ‘premium’ brand categories, respectively, make Carfax Vehicle History Reports a key part of their certification process. In fact, eight of the 10 CPO programs nominated by Intellichoice are aligned with Carfax, including Cadillac, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Saab and Volkswagen.
“Certified pre-owned cars are some of the best values on the market,” said Dick Raines, president of Carfax. “Their continued popularity is evidence that car buyers are seeking these high value vehicles. We work hard to help enhance the certified programs of all our CPO partners so that consumers buy with even greater confidence.”
Currently, 30 manufacturer CPO programs choose Carfax to build consumer confidence for their certified pre-owned vehicles. Used-car shoppers get free Carfax ceports for these cars at certified dealerships, as well as online marketplaces like AutoTrader.com and Cars.com.
“We are a certified pre-owned dealership and we run Carfax Reports on all of our cars,” said Bill Keefe, used-car manager with Northtown Automotive Companies. “We have the Carfax Report on the dash of every one of our CPO vehicles. We always bring the report up to the customer even if they haven’t asked us yet. Eventually the customer always asks and since we are up front with them, they know there’s nothing to hide.”
