IRVINE, Calif. –- Autobytel´s video production division, CarTV, is enabling OEM advertising clients to present their television commercials on its network of car-buying Web sites through its streaming advertising program.
In November, the program included nearly 3,500 hours of car commercials on Autobytel.com and Autoweb.com. It is being upgraded with a new video player that will support streaming video close to broadcast quality on almost any PC.
“We´re providing auto marketers with a compelling opportunity to re-purpose their costly TV ads to impact a massive, consolidated audience of vehicle shoppers at the moment their making their brand decisions,” said Andrew Donchak, Autobytel executive vice president and chief marketing officer.
Currently, CarTV commercials launch automatically when consumers enter the home pages and research areas of the Web sites. In 2005, CarTV will also integrate streaming commercials into Autobytel´s Dynamic Content Placement program. This will enable consumers who are researching a certain make or model to enter a sponsored page featuring information about a competitive vehicle.
