CDK Veteran Dan Crowley Named Senior Field Sales Consultant
Crowley brings more than 20 years of experience in the automotive space, most notably as one of the leading sales managers at CDK.
LONG BEACH, Calif. — izmocars announced the appointment of company veteran Dan Crowley as a senior field sales consultant. He will oversee all sales and the business development partnerships for FrogData, izmocar’s data analytics platform.
Crowley’s focus will be on growing and launching new offerings for company's analytics platform, which provides dealer users with advanced reporting, business insights, and predictive analytics.
“It’s exciting to be on board with FrogData at this point in auto history because there is a wealth of information out there to keep managers ahead of the curve on everything from sales profits to customer retention, but there has been no easy way to access it — until now,” said Crowley.
Crowley began his automotive career at Town and Country Ford in Charlotte, N.C., Sonic Automotive’s flagship store. He earned Ford’s 500 Master Sales Club Award in only two years with the dealership. Crowley then left to begin MultiSource Planning, creators of a customer retention product for dealers.
After he sold his shares in the company, Crowley moved on to Computer Care in 1994, the first electronic service-reminder company. After the company merged with ADP Dealer Services, Crowley stayed on and spent the next five years as a key account rep for the Western and Central New York regions. He led the country in competitive “unhooks” before he was promtoed to director of sales northeast, a role in which he spent the next 15 years building some of the most successful sales teams in the company’s history.
“Dan has a wealth of knowledge in the automotive space and has seen firsthand how data can significantly impact the success of a dealership through his decades of work with CDK,” said Tej Soni, CEO of izmocars. “Analytics are becoming essential as we enter the world of individualized marketing and Dan will be instrumental in the rapid adoption of our data solution.”
It has been reported that companies using data platforms are five times more likely to be successful. However, the cost and complexity of such technologies usually keep the systems from being available tothe majority of automotive dealerships. FrogData aims to keep data analytics affordable and efficient for general managers and executives, regardless of the size of the dealership or number of rooftops.
