PORTLAND, Ore. — Compliance solutions provider Compli will present a free Webinar entitled "The Employee Free Choice Act: Are You Ready for a Mandatory Card Check?" on Wed., April 22 at 12 p.m. ET.
The one-hour presentation will address the potential passage of the Employee Free Choice Act from the dealership perspective. In announcing the Webinar, Compli urged owners, principals, CEOs, CFOs, GMs, controllers and department managers to attend. Host Chris Hoffman, a partner at Atlanta-based Fisher & Phillips LLP, plans to discuss the following topics:
• What the card check process will entail
• A rule change on bargaining which would impose a mandatory interest arbitration on those parties who fail to reach an agreement on their own within 130 days
• Tougher penalties for employers who commit "unfair labor practices"
• How to reduce your company’s vulnerability to organizing while there is still time
The presentation will close with a Q&A session. Attendees can register for the Webinar here.
