CREDCO Hosts Free Red Flags Compliance Webinar

First Advantage CREDCO, in collaboration with Hudson Cook LLP and Compli, will host a comprehensive webinar Thursday, Oct. 9, for U.S. automotive dealerships. It will focus on the legal process and data requirements for developing a Red Flags Rule compliance program.

First Advantage CREDCO, a provider of automotive specialty credit reporting and identity verification services, in collaboration with Hudson Cook LLP and Compli, will host a comprehensive webinar for U.S. automotive dealerships. It will focus on the legal process and data requirements for developing a Red Flags Rule compliance program.


The webinar, "You and The Red Flags Rule: The Definitive 4-1-1 for Automotive Dealers," is offered free of charge and limited to the first 1,000 registrants. It will be held on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008 from 9 to 10 a.m. PDT.

It will feature a discussion of the rule's requirements by Hudson Cook LLP, compliance process advice from Compli and guidance on identity verification data from First Advantage CREDCO, the Red Flags webinar is designed specifically to address the critical components and training requirements associated with the Red Flags Rule, which automotive dealers are mandated to comply with by Nov. 1.


Attendees will learn about the risk and exposure of identity theft; legal requirements of the Red Flags Rule; systems and process tools to keep dealers on track; how to best communicate and document compliance; consumer data solutions to help satisfy compliance obligations; and recommendations for creating a dealer's own red flags program.


Attending dealers will benefit from three of the most influential industry experts by gaining a greater understanding of the Red Flags Rule so that they can effectively create and implement an identity theft prevention program for their dealerships. Presenters of the Webinar will be Michael Benoit, partner at Hudson Cook LLP, Robert Miller, Esq., founder of Compli; Cres Hay, senior product manager of First Advantage CREDCO, and Eric Rumsey, president of First Advantage CREDCO as the moderator.
