Detroit Auto Auction Holds October 14 Grand Opening
Manheim Auction’s new Detroit Auto Auction facility is slated to open Oct. 14. The $40 million, state-of-the-art facility features a 12-lane dealer auction center, a fully equipped reconditioning facility, and storage for 16,000 vehicles.
Located eight miles from the Detroit Metro Airport in Carlton, MI, the facility sits on 225 acres of land and has 1,050 dealer parking spots. The previous facility was located on 95 acres in Taylor, MI. Office space for the auction staff has more than doubled to 71,000 square feet.
Detroit Auto Auction will host a grand opening celebration on the evening of Oct. 14 and a grand opening sale the following morning, Oct. 15, at 9:00 am. The auction will host a DaimlerChrysler closed sale on Oct. 17.
