Cowboy Corp has announced an agreement with The Ed Morse Group (ranked number 23 of the top 100 dealership groups in 2000 by Automotive News) to implement Prospector CRM and redesign Web sites for all Ed Morse’s 17 stores.

After an exhaustive search that spanned two years and included in-depth presentations and demonstrations with numerous CRM and lead management providers, the Ed Morse Group chose Cowboy's CRM solution, Prospector. The group was also looking for a single company that could handle their CRM needs as well as redevelop custom Web sites for all their stores.

“We realized we needed a system to help us with the overwhelming amount of Internet traffic we were experiencing," said Cathy Morse, associate Internet director for the group. "Our main objectives were to organize and streamline the sales process and optimize follow-up. We estimated that we were losing 50 percent of new business due to lack of an automated system. Selling a car in person can take hours. With Prospector, follow-up can even occur while a salesperson is selling a car, thanks to the level of automation built into the system. We were able to increase our sales person efficiency tenfold.”

The majority of Ed Morse Group dealerships operate using a UCS dealership management system (DMS).”It was crucial that the integration between UCS and Prospector be smooth and reliable," said Jordan Lampert, vice president of operations and co-founder of Cowboy Corp. "We attribute the success of the project to a large degree to the close working relationship and the tight partnership we forged with the dedicated professionals on the Ed Morse team.”

About the Ed Morse Group

Ed Morse owns 17 new-car dealerships in Florida and one in Alabama that sell more than 20,000 cars annually, making it the 23rd largest auto megadealer in the nation (Automotive News 2000 ranking). The company sells 24 brands of cars and also sells used cars, parts and offers service. The company also operates a fleet sales division.

Owner and CEO Ed Morse entered the automobile business in 1946 with a 20-car rental fleet.
