eGM’s Mark Hogan to Position Industry on Bricks-Clicks Strategy at CAR 2001

Mark Hogan, group vice president, eGM, will be the featured speaker at the luncheon session on day one of the forthcoming Conference of Automotive Remarketing 2001 on March 20 at the Hilton in Las Vegas.


Hogan is General Motors’ leading e-commerce executive and regarded as a key driver and visionary in GM's focus on developing an Internet strategy for its dealers, customers, and the total automotive market for new and pre-owned vehicles.

He will outline the strategic positioning and integration of the Internet and e-commerce in the development of marketing programs for GM’s entire product lineup for both new and used vehicles. Particular emphasis will be focused on the opportunities for vehicle remarketers resulting from GM’s online used-vehicle remarketing programs.

Two intensive days of speakers, executive panels, and management workshops focused on current industry issues and market trends will be presented at the annual conference, sponsored and organized by Bobit Publishing Company and Automotive Information Networks, Inc.

Major industry speakers will brief the vehicle remarketing channel participants on the latest industry developments, issues, and emerging opportunities. Six management workshops on used-vehicle remarketing systems and technology, off-lease vehicle remarketing, alternative remarketing channels, recruiting and training of industry management, and outsourcing of vehicle remarketing services, auction remarketing management, Internet applications and remarketing are scheduled for day one and two of the conference.


The attendance for CAR 2001 is expected to exceed the CAR 2000 registrations of 750 industry and remarketing executives.


More than 50 industry companies will participate in the Products and Services Expo 2001 scheduled to open on March 19 with exhibits and receptions every day of the conference proceedings.
