SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Institute for Ethical Behavior President John Walsh visited the Automotive Dealership Institute on Friday, July 28, and served as a guest professor. Walsh personally instructed the class on Ethics Certification for Automotive Finance Professionals, which is a requirement for ADI students enrolled in its Automotive Finance and Insurance Management course.

Each of ADI's students successfully passed the ethics course, and will receive their certifications along with the diplomas upon graduation.

"What a pleasure it is to teach such a fine collection of future F&I managers," Walsh said. "The foundation they're learning at ADI is the best available in the country, and I am sure they will rise to the top of their professions. Ethics is such an important aspect of any endeavor, and ADI students learn first-hand how to embrace it while continuing to deliver quality CSI and profits for their dealerships."

In April, the Automotive Dealership Institute and the Institute for Ethical Behavior signed an agreement that enabled ADI to incorporate the Institute for Ethical Behavior’s nationally recognized ethics training into its own comprehensive four-week Automotive Finance and Insurance Management program. The agreement also allowed ADI to offer the ethics certification course to dealership F&I personnel.

As part of their Ethics Certification, ADI graduates will receive monthly ethics and legal updates for a year directly from the Institute for Ethical Behavior, keeping them abreast of legislative changes that could impact the industry at large and effectively serving as continuing education.

Said ADI Dean of Education Arzu Algan: “We teach the Instutute of Ethical Behavior's ethics course as part of our curriculum at ADI, but having John Walsh come and teach it personally is a great honor. We have a great relationship with many of the industry's leaders, and Mr. Walsh is certainly among them."

Earlier in July, David Robertson, executive director of the Association of Finance and Insurance Professionals, served as a guest professor at the Automotive Dealership Institute to personally teach an AFIP Certification review course, also an integral part of ADI’s Finance & Insurance Management program.
