Fidelity Information Services Connects with RouteOne's Credit Application Management System
Fidelity Information Services, Inc. and RouteOne, LLC have reached an agreement that they say will simplify and expand access to automobile dealers for financial institutions using the Fidelity Information Services’ end-to-end loan and lease systems.
RouteOne, a collaborative effort by DaimlerChrysler Services, Ford Motor Credit Co., General Motors Acceptance Corp., and Toyota Financial Services, will enable auto dealers to submit a consumer’s credit application directly to multiple financial institutions.
Fidelity Information Services will develop an interface connecting RouteOne’s online credit application management system to its own Advanced Lending Solutions (ALS) Comprehensive Origination Manager system. The interface will make it easier for financial institutions using products from Fidelity to connect with the RouteOne system, according to Cliff Thompson, senior vice president of Fidelity Information Services - Automotive Finance Division.
“The RouteOne link will enhance our clients’ relationships with their dealers and facilitate their direct access to Fidelity’s Automotive Finance solutions,” Thompson said. “We at Fidelity are confident that the RouteOne delivery channel will provide significant value to our customers.”
The RouteOne Web-based system will automate the credit application process from application submission to daily information processing. When launched later this year, RouteOne will provide a front-end connection between automobile dealers and financial institutions.
Fidelity’s solutions will handle application processing, portfolio management, customer service, and vehicle disposition. Solutions from Fidelity Information Services include outsourced services to complement the RouteOne system offerings, according to the company.
The credit application will feed directly from RouteOne into Fidelity’s ALS Comprehensive Origination Manager application, which automates the entire decision process, including application and account checks, credit review rules, and credit bureau inquiries, as well as custom scoring, discounting, and funding. Within seconds of a dealer submitting a credit application through RouteOne, the credit processing system will respond with the lender’s credit decision. Dealers can also access real-time application status information from each participating financial institution using the RouteOne system and communicate with credit analysts at their site.
“Through our agreement with Fidelity, we are expanding the potential universe of financial institutions that will become online participants in the RouteOne system,” said Mike Jurecki, CEO of RouteOne. “Many top financial institutions use Fidelity Information Services’ software and systems. Now it will be easy for those institutions to connect with RouteOne.”
