STILLWATER, Minn. — Ford Motor Co. has filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against embattled megadealer Denny Hecker. The automaker said that Hecker's Stillwater Ford owes $3.1 million for 84 new-vehicle sales and unpaid parts orders, according to the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Star Tribune.
In November, Hecker sold three dealerships and shuttered six others, including Stillwater Ford, in the midst of multiple legal battles. That month, General Motors Corp. sued Hecker for selling non-GM brands at Southview Chevrolet in Inver Grove Heights and Hecker sued Chrysler Financial Services for cutting off credit to 13 of his dealerships.
