Ford Using Carfax Reports for CPO Programs
Ford has selected Carfax to provide vehicle history reports to customers who take advantage of Ford and Lincoln certified pre-owned programs.
DETROIT, Mich. — Ford selected Carfax to provide vehicle history reports for its Ford and Lincoln Certified Pre-Owned programs. Starting Jan. 1, 2013, Ford will provide CPO shoppers with a free Carfax Vehicle History Report.
Ford and Lincoln certified pre-owned vehicles now come with a Carfax report and are covered by the Carfax buyback guarantee. Ford CPO cars pass a 172-point inspection and are backed by a 12-month, 12,000-mile comprehensive limited warranty, plus a 7-year, 100,000 mile limited powertrain warranty. Lincoln CPO cars pass a 200-point inspection and are backed by a 6-year, 100,000-mile comprehensive warranty. Certified Ford and Lincoln buyers also get complimentary 24/7 roadside assistance.
“Carfax proved to be one of the key enhancements Ford wants for its certified programs,” said Joe Koenig, vice president of Carfax. “We share Ford’s commitment to ensure their customers buy Certified Ford and Lincoln vehicles with greater confidence.”
