DETROIT –- General Motors Corp.´s last marketing campaign of the year offers customers cut-rate lease deals and cash bonuses if they finance 2004 and 2005 models through GMAC.
The sale runs through Jan. 3, 2005 and includes cash bonuses of $500 to $2,500 in addition to current rebates, reported The Detroit News.
GM explained the details of the program to dealers through a close-circuit telecast and in e-mails. Dealers received large red tags with spaces to fill in the manufacturer´s suggested retail price and the lowest price for which they´ll sell the vehicle.
In the first week of December, the company reinstated its offer of no-interest financing for 72 months on 2004-model vehicles.
These incentives come after GM´s market share reached only 24.8 percent and sales dropped to 16.5 percent in November, according to the The Detroit News.
