GWC Warranty Caps Off Charitable Year With Toy Drive Donation
GWC Warranty employees across the country donated hundreds of toys and more than $1,000 to help families of hospitalized children shop for holiday gifts.
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — GWC Warranty recently completed a toy drive to benefit the annual toy shop at Geisinger Health System’s Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, the company announced this week.
Together, GWC Warranty employees across the country donated hundreds of toys and more than $1,000 to help families of hospitalized children shop for holiday gifts.
This toy drive donation, the announcement noted, capped off a charitable year for GWC Warranty and its employees. Earlier this year, employees contributed to a Christmas in July food drive sponsored by the United Way of Wyoming Valley and a school supply drive to benefit Wilkes-Barre’s St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen.
The company also sponsored two trucks as part of the Commission on Economic Opportunity’s Food 4 Kids Summer Program, the company added. These trucks supplied summertime meals for children who do not receive the same nutritional support that they do during the school year.
