PARMA, Ohio -- The automobile dealer industry currently has a deluge of job positions open, according to All Headline News.
A survey of 657 new-car dealers showed 105,000 various openings in sales, management, administration and service located in the South and Midwest.
The National Automobile Dealers Association estimates there are more than 100,000 jobs available at 20,000 dealerships across the nation, according to chairman William Bradshaw.
All Headline News notes a variety of reasons for the increase in job availability in the industry: sales have increased; mechanic work now requires more computer skills; financing auto loans has become the norm; and large dealerships operate long hours seven days a week, needing more administrative and management employees.
