Even before the war in Iraq started March 19, the no-interest loan offers that once made auto sales sizzle were starting to fizzle, according to the Detroit Free Press. Now that another crisis threatens to keep potential car buyers out of showrooms, what kind of bargains will automakers trot out next?
For the rest of this month, probably nothing more than the current, historically generous incentives, automakers say. But after that, incentives could go even higher, some experts say, the Free Press reported.
