Industry Experts to Examine Vehicle Lease Residual Losses at CAR 2001

A management workshop panel composed of the automotive industry’s leading leasing consultant, lease residual forecast publisher, lease residual value insurance underwriter, and a major retail bank lessor will present an in-depth examination of the factors, market conditions, and industry practices that have contributed to the on-going losses-on-sale experienced by retail lessors in recent years at the annual Conference of Automotive Remarketing 2001 in Las Vegas on March 19th.


The assembled panel of industry experts on vehicle lease residual management will consist of Ron Loshin, Bank Lease Consultants; Raj Sundarim, Automotive Lease Guide (ALG); John Eckenrode, Lee & Mason; and William Jensen, Bank One Leasing.

The focus of the panel on the opening of day of CAR 2001 will be to explore, define, and identify the reasons why major banks and captives have been losing money on the resale of used vehicle coming off lease for the past seven years. The distinguished group will seek to structure solutions and strategies to one of the industry most critical problems.

Two intensive days of speakers, executive panels, and management workshops focused on current automotive industry issues and market trends will be presented at the annual conference sponsored and organized by Bobit Publishing Company and Automotive Information Networks, Inc.


Major industry speakers will brief the vehicle remarketing channel participants on the latest industry developments, issues, and emerging opportunities. Six management workshops on used vehicle remarketing systems and technology, off-lease vehicle remarketing, alternative remarketing channels, recruiting and training of industry management, and outsourcing of vehicle remarketing services, auction remarketing management, Internet applications and remarketing are scheduled for day one and two of the conference.


The attendance for CAR 2001 is expected to exceed the CAR 2000 registrations of 750 industry and remarketing executives.
