Inspection Solution, which provides professional inspections for used vehicles, on June 6 announced a partnership with AutoTrader.com, an Internet destination for online automotive classifieds. This partnership will offer AutoTrader.com's more than five million monthly consumers the option to have

a vehicle examined by trained and certified personnel to guarantee its quality before it is either listed for sale on the site or before it is purchased.

According to company officials, Inspection Solution will provide AutoTrader.com's customers peace of mind when either buying or selling a vehicle online with the ability to have their vehicle inspected by an unbiased third party inspection company.

Through the alliance, consumers can purchase a LemonBusters Pre-Purchase Auto Inspection for the vehicle they want to buy or sell on AutoTrader.com. If a particular vehicle a buyer is interested in has not received the check-up, Inspection Solution can conduct an on-the-spot inspection of all mechanical and electrical components, including the frame, body and chassis, for $129.

Any structural damage or other problem areas will be explained in a detailed report. Inspection reports and photographed images are then made available through Inspection Solution's website at www.lemonbusters.com. Before the end of the year, vehicle sellers

will be able to post the inspection report along with their online classified listing on AutoTrader.com, which will help differentiate the vehicle within the massive AutoTrader.com database.

"AutoTrader.com is the most comprehensive service consumers can use to research and locate the perfect used vehicle," said Nick Peluso, president of Remarketing Solutions. "The LemonBusters Pre-Purchase Auto Inspection fills the void of not knowing the exact condition of a vehicle before it changes hands. Our impartial, detailed report can highlight the condition of each vehicle, and if any area needs special attention, the approximate cost associated with making repairs will be tallied, as well. This service benefits sellers as much as it does buyers by allowing sellers to obtain a 'seal of quality' on the vehicle they're listing on AutoTrader.com."

Inspection Solution offers nationwide mobile inspections in which a Certified Vehicle Inspector comes to your home or place of business. From mechanical to structural components, these mobile vehicles are equipped with a complete set of diagnostic tools. All Certified Vehicle Inspectors are full-time employees who have completed an extensive company-training course. In addition, Inspection Solution offers inspection services at numerous retail store locations in every major metropolitan area, according company officials.

"One of the major areas car buyers have told us they are concerned about is vehicle quality, so we feel this partnership with Inspection Solution will attract a huge consumer following," said Chip Perry, president and CEO,

AutoTrader.com. "It will also be a win-win for our sellers since they will be able to merchandise an inspection report along with their listing in the largest Internet auto classifieds site in the country."

The used-vehicle market is growing each year. In 1999, nearly 41 million used vehicles were sold.
