JM Family Enterprises Promotes Two Executives

Colin Brown, president of JM Family Enterprises, Inc. has announced the promotions of two company executives.


Scott Barrett has been promoted to executive vice president and chief information officer of JMFE. He continues to be responsible for the strategic direction, development, implementation and operation of JMFE's technology and information systems at all company locations including Deerfield Beach and Jacksonville, Fla.; Mobile, Ala.; Commerce, Ga.; St. Louis, Mo. and Hunt Valley, Md. Barrett joined the company in July 2001 as senior vice president and chief information officer. Prior to joining JMFE, he held executive management positions with Republic Industries and Blockbuster Entertainment. Barrett earned dual bachelor's degrees in accounting and management information systems from Texas Tech University. He currently serves on the board of directors of Technisource, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed company.

Brent Burns has been promoted to executive vice president of JMFE and president of World Omni Financial Corp. He will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of World Omni, Southeast Toyota Finance and CenterOne Financial Services. Previously, Burns was senior vice president of JMFE and of World Omni. Prior to joining JMFE in October 2000, Burns held senior management positions with RMS Network, Inc.; AutoNation Financial Services, Inc.; Alamo Rent-A-Car, Inc. and KPMG Peat, Marwick. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
