JM Family Ranks on Fortune's 100 Best Companies List

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. -- Diversified automotive company JM Family Enterprises (JMFE) has ranked No. 40 on FORTUNE magazine's 2006 list of 100 Best Companies to Work For. This is the eighth consecutive year the family-owned business has made the list.

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. -- Diversified automotive company JM Family Enterprises (JMFE) has ranked No. 40 on FORTUNE magazine’s 2006 list of 100 Best Companies to Work For. This is the eighth consecutive year the family-owned business has made the list.


FORTUNE cited that every year since 1969, JMFE has contributed an amount equal to 15 percent of associates’ annual salary into its profit sharing plans and for having an on-site salon that provides free hair and nail services to associates. The world’s largest private Toyota distributorship is also the highest-ranked automotive retailing/services company and is No. 15 overall for Best Compensation/Pay for salaried positions.

This is the second year that FORTUNE has subdivided the list by company size: large, midsize and small, with JM Family ranked No. 16 among midsize companies with between 2,501 to 10,000 U.S. employees.
