LML Technologies on Dec. 4 announced the release of LeaseLink Direct(TM), the company's first internet-hosted dealership product.

According to LML, LeaseLink Direct is a natural progression of LeaseLink(R), the company's leasing product utilized by over 4,000 dealerships and lenders throughout the country.

LML's first venture into Web-hosted technology, LeaseLink Direct was designed to accommodate the evolving needs of today's dealerships, combining the efficiency of a Windows product with the cost economy provided by the web. According to LML, it is also consistent with the current trend toward high-speed Internet access in dealerships, which major automobile manufacturers will require by year-end 2005 or sooner.

"The proven reliability of LeaseLink is now on the Web," said Phillip Battista, LML's chief operating officer. "We are very pleased to be able to offer our customers the complete functionality they've come to expect from LeaseLink in a web-hosted application that also offers enhanced pricing economies of scale." As part of the company's LeaseLink product, LeaseLink Direct also stands behind its data, offering the industry's only written 100 percent data guarantee, Battista added.

The new product is remotely accessed through a Web server, providing a significant advantage over the browser-based products on the market today. It will provide multi-tasking capabilities, allowing users to work more than one deal at a time - something that is not possible within the linear design of browser-based products, according to LML.

Battista said LeaseLink Direct is an attractive addition to SalesDesk(TM), LML's comprehensive suite of sales tools for new and used car leasing, designed to facilitate the sales process from point of customer contact through negotiation and the final deal. In addition to LeaseLink, the suite includes FinanceWizard(TM) secondary finance software, and Guest Track(TM), a tracking tool designed to help turn prospects into customers.

To date, LeaseLink and the SalesDesk product suite have been officially endorsed by 22 state automobile dealer associations; they have also been honored by several national endorsements, according to LML.
