Manheim Auctions Announces Management Changes

Manheim Auctions has announced that Steve Mason has been named general manager of Fredericksburg Auto Auction in Fredericksburg, Va., and Mark Albertson has been promoted to auction manager of Imperial Auto Auction in Lakeland, Fla.



Mason previously served as general manager of Imperial Auto Auction, while Albertson was assistant general manager of Imperial.

Mason joined Manheim in 1991 as a manager trainee at Lakeland Auto Auction in Lakeland, Fla. He brought with him six years of experience in the used car business. In 1992, Mason was promoted to dealer sales manager. A year later, he transferred to Daytona Auto Dealers Exchange (now Daytona Auto Auction) in Daytona Beach, Fla., as assistant auction manager. In 1995, Mason became assistant general manager of Imperial Auto Auction, and two years later was named auction manager. In 1998, he was promoted to general manager of Lakeland, a position he held until January 2001 when he was named general manager of Imperial.



Albertson joined Manheim in 1988 as a manager trainee at Imperial Auto Auction. In 1990, he was promoted to operations manager. Three years later, Albertson was named assistant general manager, a position he held until being promoted to auction manager.
