ORLANDO, FL -- MobilTrac LLC unveiled its new instaVIN, which aims to provide dealers and consumers with accident history reports in seconds through www.instavin.com.

instaVIN utilizes SMS text messaging for on-the-go vehicle data, a service that will be available online and wirelessly beginning February 28. The complete vehicle history reporting feature will be available in March.

instaVIN's patent-pending service allows users to simply text the last eight digits of a vehicle's VIN number to "INSTA" and instantly receive an accident history report via SMS messaging. instaVIN works with SMS text messaging on virtually all phones and carriers and is not limited to a particular phone application. The first report costs $1.99, while additional reports cost $2.99. In addition, instaVIN reports, both online and mobile, include a proprietary "Vehicle Valuator" guide, featuring real-time vehicle values with available inventory, based on local market data.

"instaVIN was originally developed with dealers in mind who need critical access to accident information when they are at auction," said James Irish, CEO for MobileTrac, parent company of instaVIN. "Many cars show up the day of auction when dealers are not able to run reports online, or have the time to call back to their offices to get the information they need. With instaVIN they never have to let another car pass them by. They get the answers they need to bid with confidence in a matter of seconds at an affordable price."
