The National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) and USA Today formally announced the creation of the Dealer Innovation Award at a special ceremony in conjunction with the New York International Auto Show on April 9.
"We are very excited about our
partnership with NADA," said Ben Laurence of USA Today. "And we are pleased to announce an award that will recognize dealer innovation."
This program highlights the fact that dealers are embracing new technologies to better serve their customers," said NADA Chairman Bob
Maguire.
The first award will be presented at next year's auto show. All NADA members are eligible.
The winners will demonstrate, relative to dealership size, that they have applied technology to accomplish a defined, quantifiable business goal or objective.
Dealers can nominate themselves for the award in one of four categories: sales and marketing
(including online), customer relationship management, dealership image, and employee recruiting and training.
Dealers can nominate themselves at www.nada.usatoday.com.
