LINTHICUM, Md. -- Dealers will have the opportunity to learn best practices for working effectively with finance companies at the National Automotive Finance Association workshop Dec. 7.

The panel, "Finance Company’s Decision Making Process," will include representatives from finance companies and dealerships. Jim Bass, executive vice president of Drivers Select, will moderate the panel.

  In the afternoon, "The Hispanic Business Opportunity," panel will include John H. ³Hank² Held, senior vice president, corporate counsel and assistant secretary, Burt Enterprises; Brian Perry, general manager, Carriage Nissan in Gainesville, Ga.; and Tom Hudson, Hudson Cook LLP. Discussion will focus on best practices in marketing to and extending credit to the growing Hispanic market.

  
  

  The one-day workshop will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, Atlanta Airport, Millennium Center in Atlanta from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  
  

  Registration is $149 for NAF Association members and $199 for non-members. Registrants can choose to attend CIQ/VOISYS workshop, "Best Practices in Setting Up a Non-Prime F&I Department," at the same location Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at no additonal fee.
