TORRANCE, Calif. -- Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp., Nissan's financial services division, will allow customers in hurricane-stricken areas to defer two vehicle payments without extension fees. All customers living in counties declared a disaster by the Federal Emergency Management Agency will be eligible.
Nissan and Infiniti customers should contact Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation or Infiniti Financial Services at their earliest convenience to validate the terms of the deferral.
The NMAC program comes in addition to other hurricane-related assistance. Nissan North America Inc. has donated $500,000 in cash to the American Red Cross Hurricane 2005 Relief Fund, and has provided 50 full-size pickup trucks and SUVs to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.
In addition, Nissan will match dollar-for-dollar employee donations to the Red Cross's Hurricane 2005 Relief Fund up to a total of $250,000 in employee contributions.
