RICHMOND, Va. -- A recent poll of more than 33,000 car shoppers shows that 33 percent of car buyers don't pay careful attention to their car purchase paperwork. The poll was conducted by CarMax Inc. through its Web site.
The poll asked, "When you buy a car, how much attention do you pay to the paperwork?" The majority of respondents, 67 percent, said they very careful attention to their documents. Twenty-five percent of respondents said they look at most documents, but some they just sign. Six percent of respondents said they just sign the documents and trust the dealership. And 2 percent admitted to not paying attention at all to the documents.
