OVLA Fall Conference Rescheduled to Dec. 4; NVLA President to Speak
William (Bill) Crawford, president of the National Vehicle Leasing Association (NVLA), will be a featured speaker at the 47th Year Fall Conference of the Ohio Vehicle Leasing Association (OVLA). Originally scheduled for Nov. 13, the Conference was switched to Thursday, Dec. 4.
It will be held at the Radisson Hotel-Worthington, the site of the June 2003 Convention. Worthington is a North Columbus suburb at I-270 (Columbus Outerbelt) and Ohio Route 23. The Radisson Hotel-Worthington is located at 7007 N. High Street (also know as Ohio Route 23).
The meeting is being held in conjunction with the NVLA.
Crawford is president of Wilmar Leasing Inc., a North Carolina independent lessor based in Charlotte with offices in Spartanburg, SC., and Atlanta.
The OVLA Board of Directors of the OVLA approved on Sept. 22 affiliating with the NVLA; however, to complete the affiliation, there must be 20 members of the NVLA involved, and the number is currently eight shy, according to Richard "Dick" Lightner of the OVLA.
The affiliation calls for a "confederation" – meaning a firm can be a member of both or one or the other with dues invoicing to be separate. A "special" initial dues package is being offered by the NVLA, Lightner told F&I Management and Technology.
