Recovery Solution Announces New Technology At 2003 Agent Association Conference
Recovery Solution recently rolled out its new Interactive Recovery Information System (IRIS) at its annual agent association conference in Nashville. The three-day event drew more than 150 repossession agents from across the country, according to the company.
The company says the new IRIS system will facilitate more efficient communication between agents and Recovery Solution via the Web. Using individual user profiles, agents will be able to access multiple office locations where they can accept and decline assignments online. Among other new features, agents will also enjoy instant messaging capabilities and will be able to request payouts and receive approval online.
“Our agents really felt great about the conference this year,” said Kem Morris, general manager for Recovery Solution. “They took away a lot of new information that will help them in their day-to-day business and will be better equipped with tools they need to be successful.”
The conference’s keynote speaker was William R. Mapother of Creditors Law Center, Inc. A bankruptcy strategist with more than 35 years of experience, Mapother spoke primarily about automobile repossession laws. He dissected laws such as the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and used real-life scenarios to illustrate his points.
“It was beneficial to have the legal issues of the repo business broken down,” said John Hedrick of Crown Recovery Services in Kansas City. “If I take one thing away from this conference, it’s that you have to know the law in this profession. It is important to be constantly evaluating your business practices.”
Agents began the conference with a golf outing at Hermitage Golf Course and a welcome reception at the Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville.
“The conference is a great place to meet people whom you work with regularly and finally put a face with a name,” said Frank Skivolocke of Mid-Florida State Investigations in Orlando. “Recovery Solution is great because its main concern is for our professionalism. It has a commitment to the highest ethical standards for our industry.”
In addition to technology and repossession laws, agents listened to discussions on certification, inspections, and policies and procedures. Outstanding agents were recognized with 2002 Agent of the Year honors at an awards luncheon on Thursday.
