RedBumper Integrates Carfax Reports Into Mobile App
Carfax's vehicle history reports are now accessible through RedBumper mobile app, the two companies announced last week.
MCKINNEY, Texas — RedBumper, a smartphone-based inventory management provider, has announced the integration of Carfax Vehicle History Reports into its mobile app.
Carfax peports are automatically added to the app once a subscribing dealer runs a Carfax report through the RedBumper platform.
“Our goal with RedBumper was to give dealers revolutionary smartphone tools that would simplify their daily tasks while giving them the best analytic/stocking tools on the market,” said Bruce Thompson, founder and CEO of RedBumper. “We've had tremendous acceptance thus far with the installation of [more than] 100 dealerships a month."
RedBumper app users simply scan the VIN barcode and instantly see Carfax Highlights on the Vehicle Values tab. Key Carfax information — including whether the car is a “Carfax 1-Owner” gives dealers a quick snapshot of the car's past. With just a tap of the screen, dealers can view the full Carfax report they've purchased at any time.
"Building Carfax information into the RedBumper mobile app helps simplify the way dealers manage their inventory," said Larry Gamache, spokesperson for Carfax. "[More than] half of our dealer customers are Carfax Advantage Dealers, with access to as many Carfax Reports as they need to stock their lot with quality used cars."
