Remarketing Solutions Restructures Auction Solution, Announces Management Changes

Remarketing Solutions announced Jan. 25 that it has restructured its Auction Solution business. Steve Balco has been named general manager, and Angie Baker, field operations manager. Dave Mason has joined Auction Solution as a regional remarketing manager. Jimmy Marino, Tom Chase and Eric Blackmon have joined as field operations representatives.


"Remarketing Solutions experienced a 22% increase in business in 2001, marking our best year ever, and we expect similar growth this year, particularly when it comes to selling vehicles at auctions," said Nick Peluso, president of Remarketing Solutions. "Steve and Angie, both of whom have auction experience, will be invaluable in leading our effort to maximize our growth potential for Auction Solution."

In addition, Keith Byrd has been promoted to manager of Fleet Solution, a new business of Remarketing Solutions. Fleet Solution provides fleet management services, handling everything from title and vehicle registration to equipment permit needs and maintenance of International Registration Plan and International Fuel Tax Agreement accounts. Fred Beyer is the executive director of Fleet Services in charge of Title Solution, Transport Solution and Fleet Solution.


Steve Balco


Steve Balco joined Auction Managed Fleet Plan, the predecessor to Remarketing Solutions, owned by ADT Automotive, in 1991 as vehicle remarketing manager. From 1993 until February 1999, Balco served as fleet/lease manager at four ADT Automotive auction locations. In 1999, he rejoined Remarketing Solutions as the field operations manager, a position he has held until being named general manager of Auction Solution. As Field Operations Manager, Balco created and established Auction Solution’s Field Operations staff, which represent vehicles at auctions for Remarketing Solutions clients’.



Angie Baker


Angie Baker joined Remarketing Solutions in 1999 as a vehicle remarketer and team leader. She brought with her eight years of auction experience, including six years as fleet/lease manager and two as factory manager. In 2000, she was named field operations representative at Auction Solution, a position she held until being promoted to field operations manager.

Dave Mason


Dave Mason joins Remarketing Solutions as a regional remarketing manager in Auction Solution. With 13 years of experience in the automobile industry, he most recently served as supervisor for a team of inside remarketing representatives for Bank of America National Remarketing. He also spent three years as an auction sales manager for Ford Motor Company, a year with Ford’s national training team for Lease-End Inspection Guidelines and six years as a field service manager for Ford Motor Credit’s Insurance operations.


Jimmy Marino


Jimmy Marino, joining Auction Solution as a field operations representative, brings with him eight years of auction experience. He most recently spent three years as a fleet/lease and operations manager at an independent auction. Before that, he served for five years as operations manager.


Tom Chase

Tom Chase has joined Remarketing Solutions as a field operations representative at Auction Solution. He brings with him 18 years of auction experience. During that time, he held a variety of management positions, including fleet/lease manager, fleet/lease and factory manager and general manager.


Eric Blackmon


Eric Blackmon is joining Remarketing Solutions as a field operations representative with nearly seven years in the auto auction business. He joined ADT Automotive in 1995, where he participated in a two-year management-training program. From 1997 to 1999 he served as the assistant fleet/lease manager and then the fleet/lease manager at Lauderdale-Miami Auto Auction. Blackmon most recently served as fleet/lease manager at Bishop Brothers Auto Auction.



Keith Byrd


Keith Byrd joined Remarketing Solutions in 1999 as a repossession coordinator, bringing with him three years of experience in the vehicle leasing business and three years in the automotive

retail business. He also served as a remarketing coordinator prior to being promoted to fleet supervisor in September 2001, a position he has held until being named manager of Fleet Solution.
