Resource Automotive Launches Inventory, Operations Tool
Glenview, Ill. -– Resource Automotive, a division of Aon Warranty Group and unit of Aon Corp., has launched ResourceVIP, a new profit variable operations reporting and management tool.
ResourceVIP is an analytic tool that gives Resource Variable Income Partners (VIP) the ability to manage inventories and enhance the efficiency and profitability of their variable operations -- using the same tools traditionally available only to manufacturers, consolidators and mega-dealers, the company said.
Available exclusively to Resource Automotive clients, ResourceVIP provides forward-and-backward access to reporting systems to provide dealers action plans for vehicle acquisition, pricing, wholesaling and appraising.
Additionally, ResourceVIP provides insights to maximize floor plan credits and minimize floor plan interest, Resource Automotive said. ResourceVIP is designed to bring precision to vehicle stocking by defining not only the model but color of trim, the most profitable price points for new and used vehicles, and the top-selling vehicles in the dealership.
Using a dealership’s current production as the baseline, ResourceVIP analyzes the variable operations of a dealership and proposes a roadmap for management and scorecard for dealer principals. This allows them to create virtual "new franchises" within their existing operations.
