Reynolds and Reynolds Acquires Bogaarts Automation
The Reynolds and Reynolds Company has acquired Netherlands-based Bogaarts Automation, a provider of automotive dealership management system (DMS) software in the Netherlands and broader Benelux region.
DAYTON, Ohio — The Reynolds and Reynolds Company has acquired Netherlands-based Bogaarts Automation, a provider of automotive dealership management system (DMS) software in the Netherlands and broader Benelux region.
Reynolds will combine Bogaarts with its existing DMS operations in the Benelux region, creating a larger customer base and broader set of product offerings for the market.
Bogaarts DMS software is Windows-based and offers dealerships ease-of-use combined with advanced functionality. It has been endorsed by manufacturers Daihatsu, Kia, Nissan, Renault, Seat, Skoda and Toyota. Additionally, Bogaarts also has built a strong market presence with its body shop management solution and a software solution for the motorbike dealer market.
“We take great pride in the reputation for quality and innovation that our software applications have earned year after year among automotive dealers and manufacturers,” said Bob Brockman, chairman and CEO of Reynolds and Reynolds. “Bogaarts also has established a reputation for exceptional reliability and performance in their products and services. We are pleased to welcome them into the Reynolds and Reynolds family of companies.”
Over the past several years, Reynolds has built a strong presence in Europe through acquiring DMS providers. In addition to its presence in the Benelux region, Reynolds currently serves a significant customer base of automobile retailers in France, Germany, Spain and Switzerland, as well as throughout the U.K.
“We bring a great deal of knowledge and expertise to bear in serving automotive dealers,” said Hein Nederveen, managing director of Reynolds-Europe. “We are focused on products that work efficiently and effectively for our customers — products that make the dealership business more profitable. Bogaarts is an attractive addition to our current product offerings and market presence. They deliver advanced software products that make a meaningful difference in dealerships. That fits well with Reynolds.”
Nederveen indicated Reynolds will continue to support current Bogaarts customers and will look to accelerate development for future enhancements to the software. “When we combine our capability and expertise in software development with what exists at Bogaarts,” he said, “we believe we have a very strong combination that will pay dividends for customers.”
Brockman concluded: “We continue to invest for the long term — both in people and in the business — in ways that build Reynolds for the future while still complementing our existing strengths and successes today. The addition of Bogaarts is another example of this principle at work.”
