Reynolds and Reynolds Wins SAMA Award for Best Practices in Strategic Customer Management

The Reynolds and Reynolds Company announced Apr. 30 that it received the Strategic Account Management Association's Account Performance Award for its integrated management solutions for Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC. The award was presented at SAMA's annual conference in Orlando, Florida.




According to the company, the SAMA Performance Award recognizes outstanding strategic account management performance on the part of organizations providing new ideas and approaches for their customers. The Reynolds award specifically reflects the efforts of the company's Enterprise Solutions Group which claims to have resulted in higher market share, incremental revenue and other value for Southeast Toyota Distributors. Based in Deerfield Beach, Florida, Southeast Toyota distributes vehicles to 163 Toyota dealerships in the southeastern United States.

Reynolds began working with SET in 1997. Since then, Reynolds claims it has consulted with the organization to build a long-range strategy that has led to a solid partnership and quantifiable business results.




"Most companies today have developed a strategic account program to support the business requirements of their most strategic customers," said Lisa Napolitano, SAMA's president and CEO. "The difference in the quality of these programs varies based upon a firm's ability to fulfill its customers' expectations. Reynolds and Reynolds is relentless in its drive to produce significant bottom-line results for its customers."




Judges for the award represented the Harvard Business School, Eli Lilly and Company, Xerox Corporation, SAP AG, Sales and Marketing Management Magazine, Schneider Electric/Square D and SAMA.




Rick Boyer, vice president of the Reynolds Enterprise Solutions Group, said that the award represents the cumulative efforts of many Reynolds associates in working with Southeast Toyota Distributors.

It's the outstanding work of our Southeast Toyota account team, and their passion for partnering with our customer, that has resulted in Reynolds achieving this prestigious award," Boyer said.
