RouteOne Joint Venture Joins STAR

RouteOne, the joint venture between DaimlerChrysler Services, Ford Motor Credit Co., General Motors Acceptance Corp. and Toyota Financial Services, has joined the STAR (Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail) organization, the IT standards body for the North American retail automotive industry.

RouteOne has been charged with creating a Web-based system that will enable dealers to send credit application information to, and receive credit decisions from, multiple financial sources, including captives, banks and other institutions.

RouteOne is designed to simplify the credit application process for dealers and their customers across the automotive industry.
