Rudy Giuliani to Address NADA Convention
Rudolph W. Giuliani, former mayor of New York City, will address the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) 86th Annual Convention and Exposition in San Francisco, February 1-4, 2003. Giuliani will provide his views on domestic and world events at the convention's General Session on Monday, February 3.
In 2001, Giuliani was selected as TIME Magazine's "Person of the Year" for his extraordinary leadership in the aftermath of the September 11 tragedies. In his nine years as mayor of New York City, he was credited for such accomplishments as dramatically reducing crime, spearheading successful welfare-to-work programs and implementing fiscal responsibility.
"Giuliani is one of our nation's most respected leaders, and we are honored that he will be on hand to share his unique insights into the complex issues we face in today's world," said H. Carter Myers, III, NADA chairman.
Prior to his election as New York City's mayor in 1993, Giuliani served as U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York. Previously, he held the third-highest post in the U.S. Justice Department as associate attorney general.
Additional convention information, online registration and hotel reservations are available online at www.nada.org. A searchable listing of exhibitors will be available online in September. Members of the media are encouraged to register online. For information on press registration and press conferences, call (703) 827-7407. The National Automobile Dealers Association represents more than 19,400 new car and light truck dealers, both domestic and import, with over 40,000 franchises nationwide.
