On June 17, Manheim’s Skyline Auto Exchange in Fairfield, N.J., celebrated its 49th anniversary with a huge celebration sale attended by more than 1,200 dealers.

Manheim said the dealer-only sale offered 2,000 vehicles, with dealers in attendance from 29 states, as well as Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. The eight-lane sale featured vehicles from Ford Motor Credit, Wells Fargo, World Omni and Capital One. Overall sale results were 10 percent above average, with Ford Motor Credit and Wells Fargo selling 93 percent of their units, and World Omni and Capital One selling all but one of their entered units.

“We are excited about the number of dealers that turned out for the sale,” said Jay Cadigan, general manager of Skyline Auto Exchange. “As we mark nearly 50 years in the auto auction business, it is great to know that we have such a solid base of dedicated dealers who rely on our services.”

In addition to the sale, dealers entered to win several prizes including a 32-inch TV, a combination Grill/Ice cooler, and two slot machines. Lynne’s Nissan/Infiniti from Bloomfield, N.J., won a big-screen TV. Skyline baseball caps were given to the first 500 dealers who arrived that morning.
