DAYTON, Ohio — Standard Register and ADP Dealer Services, a division of Automatic Data Processing Inc., announced that Sonic Automotive Inc., with more than 170 locations in 15 states, has selected Dealer Office Xpress (DOX) for the group’s document and print management needs.

As part of the agreement, Standard Register will provide Sonic with a complete range of enterprise document management services being spearheaded by the DOX program. Developed as part of a strategic alliance with ADP Dealer Services, DOX is a single source for forms, office supplies and document management tools and services for automotive and truck dealers. The program provides dedicated specialists who help dealers in implementing streamlined document management programs to reduce overall operating expenses.

“At Sonic Automotive, we strive to provide the highest quality retail sales and maintenance services in the U.S. automotive market. With dealerships spread across the country, it is imperative that we have a reliable, single resource for our vast document management needs,” said Jeff Wilhoite, director of purchasing, Sonic Automotive. “With the industry expertise of both Standard Register and ADP combined into a single service, the DOX program was the logical choice to become Sonic’s resource for all systems, documents and supplies needs.”

According to Ted Valenti, vice president and general manager of ADP Imaging Sales, “We are extremely pleased that Sonic has selected DOX for all of its document and print management needs. With complete support from automotive industry leader ADP and the document specialists at Standard Register, Sonic is certain to see bottom-line benefits across its dealership group.”

DOX is powered by SMARTworks, Standard Register’s technology platform that provides print management capabilities through ADP’s Dealersuite.com site. By streamlining procedures and providing better controls, SMARTworks allows organizations to significantly reduce the overall costs associated with designing, procuring, distributing and managing printed and electronic documents throughout the dealership.

“We look forward to helping Sonic Automotive and their dealers achieve greater efficiencies, build customer loyalty and thrive in today’s competitive environment,” said Frank Costantino, vice president, market segment sales, Standard Register. “With approximately 10,000 dealers nationwide relying on the service and expertise provided through DOX, we’re confident that we can help Sonic do what they do best — sell and service vehicles.”
