Universal Computer Systems Announces 'Industry First' Internet Executive Reporting Application
Universal Computer Systems (UCS) has announced its newest innovation in financial reporting for dealership executives -- Internet Executive Reporting (IER). IER is a Web-based reporting application enabling dealers and senior managers to access graphical reports of their dealership's financial status.
Requirements for utilizing the application include an IER license, a UCS Internet Business Connection Server, and Internet Explorer version 5.5 or higher.
Data can be displayed in different time periods, including months and years, assisting users in identifying trends. Graphs can be emailed to personnel within the dealership to aid in addressing specific concerns or problem areas. For multi-dealership groups, statistics from multiple stores can be accessed and compared instantly.
IER was designed with "point-and-click" functionality so users who may not be familiar with the UCS Computer System, but are familiar with the Internet and email, can still navigate through the application easily.
To prevent unauthorized users from seeing specific data, access is restricted by password. For example, the parts manager's password would give him access to only the Parts section of IER.
"IER displays dealership financial data graphically over extended periods of time, enabling dealers to quickly spot areas needing attention, and identify annual and monthly trends," said Trey Hiers, senior marketing manager for UCS. "By using these tools, dealers can take preventative actions to aid in improving their business' performance."
