USA Today Reports: GM Renews Incentives
USA Today reported Jan. 3 that General Motors announced a new round of rebates on most 2003 models.
According to USA Today, effective Jan. 3 and continuing through Feb. 28, the automaker is offering rebates of up to $3,000 cash on most '03 Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, Oldsmobile and Pontiac models.
USA Today also said GM is offering zero-percent financing on most '03 passenger car models. Excluded are Cadillac, Hummer, Saab and the Corvette.
USA Today reported that aggressive incentives last month are expected to contribute heavily to a strong December for U.S. vehicle sales industrywide. But a lingering concern among investors and analysts is how much the deals are cutting into profits and whether they'll lead to soft volume in the coming months.
