Warranty Gold Launches Web Site to Provide Info on Service Contracts Insured by National Warranty
As part of what it calls "an effort to inform customers and keep them up to date," Austin-based Warranty Gold has launched www.WarrantyNews.com. The Web site is dedicated to providing customers the latest news, information and options regarding Warranty Gold contracts impacted by the liquidation of National Warranty Insurance Risk Retention Group.
"WarrantyNews.com will provide our customers with the latest information they need to make decisions about their extended service contracts," said Warranty Gold CEO and President Michael Kammerman. "The liquidation of National Warranty affects almost a million consumers and numerous other companies similar to Warranty Gold across the country. WarrantyNews.com is designed to be a service to our customers, but we hope it can be a useful resource to anyone interested in monitoring the situation with National Warranty."
"The liquidation of National Warranty has put a lot of people in a difficult position, but at Warranty Gold, we recognize that we're the face to our customers," said Warranty Gold General Manager Kurt Nelson. "We are determined to explore every avenue, legal and otherwise, to be able to honor our commitments to our customers. We established WarrantyNews.com so our customers can stay informed about our progress."
Warranty Gold said it will update WarrantyNews.com whenever new information regarding National Warranty is available.
National Warranty, the administrator and insurer of Warranty Gold extended service contracts purchased prior to June 6, 2003, was recently declared insolvent. Warranty Gold is now working with a new insurer and administrator. Warranty Gold contracts purchased after June 6, 2003, are not affected by National Warranty.
